Council of Europe

7TH EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON

FAMILY LAW

“INTERNATIONAL FAMILY MEDIATION”

16th March 2009 Strasbourg

The aim of the 7th European Conference on Family Law is to improve and harmonise co-operation and practices in the field of international family mediation (costs, quality control and enforcement of mediated agreements). The question of training requirements for international family mediators will also be tackled.

It is hoped that this event will not only raise awareness of existing good practices in international family mediation and look at other forms of alternative dispute resolution and their characteristics, but also explore possible synergies in this particular field between international organisations.

All documents and information about the conference can be found:

and the conclusion by Ms Renate Winter: Conclusion.
